You Are Honored & Precious

Jesus, You say to me, “You are honored and precious in My Sight”, which in a word means that I am Your Beloved. These words of Yours penetrate my heart, for in truth it is not uncommon for me to think myself not very honored or precious at all. What is it that You see in me, Lord, that I often struggle to see with my own eyes? Why is it that You look upon the lowly with such compassion and merciful love so as to raise us up?

Jesus, You say to me, “I see you as you are—that is, as I, the Most High, have created you and as a child of God the Father. I am His Son, and so you too, by the power of My Cross and Resurrection, have been reconciled to Him as His adopted and beloved child. I love you as you are because the Father, our Father, loves and continues to love you with an unwearied love every moment. I look upon you with such compassion and merciful love because I know and share each of your afflictions and I desire to alleviate your pain and give you respite in My Love, in My Embrace.

Child of God, My Beloved, abide in Me that you may see yourself and your neighbor even as I and the Father see…that you may love yourself and your neighbor even as I and the Father love…that you may know yourself and your neighbor as honored and precious in My Sight…that you may be compassionate and merciful toward yourself and your neighbor even as I and the Father are.”
